Prenatal Yoga Practice is designed for you during your pregnancy to build physical, mental & emotional strength and connection. Preparing you for labour through breath work, visualizations, and opening yoga postures and exercises. Releasing low back tension, digestive difficulties and other discomforts that you may be experiencing while the baby grows inside you with gentle supportive core work & stretches; opening hips, shoulders, side body (ribs & waist). Gentle movement linked with breath & supportive stretches for these areas of the body specific to pregnant women’s needs. Learn many relaxation techniques to help maintain focus, calm and relaxation throughout your pregnancy and delivery.
Alongside the yoga practice, prenatal yoga classes are a special place to meet and connect with other mothers & mothers to be in your community, building long-lasting friendships and support. At the beginning of each class, there are set times for a check-in chat among each other. This can take 10 mins or sometimes longer but it is such an important time to share experience and wisdom with each other. Building your momma community support system.
The best time to begin prenatal yoga is after morning sickness has subsided. If you already have a yoga practice you can begin when you feel ready. The suggested time is after the 12th week but contact Annie personally if you wish to start sooner. You can continue the practice right until the due date. These classes are open to all pregnant women who are looking to create a healthy atmosphere during their pregnancy and no previous yoga experience is necessary.

Prenatal yoga is a special time to nourish and take good care of yourself while learning the tools to support you in a positive birth and postpartum experience. And remember as you nourish and take good care of yourself during your pregnancy, you are automatically positively nurturing your unborn child at great lengths.
With my Yoga Therapy based Prenatal Classes you will receive weekly supportive, informative and educational emails to guide you along your journey. You will have time to openly share your experience with a caring supportive group of people moving through a similar journey as yourself and you will get weekly recorded practices to review and re-practice as much as you would like.
