Mom & Baby Yoga
“A huge part of what I took away from mama-baby yoga was Annie’s energy. Even now when I struggle I turn to mothers who resonate with me, who teach with wisdom and peace, and Annie’s words echo in my mind frequently. I’ll catch myself saying “what would Annie do” when I need to channel her incredible motherly energy! Thank you, Annie, so much for just being you!”

“I enjoyed getting back into practicing yoga with my son Dylan at The Yoga Studio recently. Annie’s gentle nurturing approach made the experience so much more rewarding. It’s a great way to connect with your baby. I find myself pulling out the yoga mat at home more often”.

“You would think that a 50% infant population would result in utter chaos, but Annie makes her mama-baby yoga work. She goes with the flow, and it helps us do so as well. We “check in” and chat, we breastfeed, we stretch, we laugh freely and joyously to the chirps and squawks of our wee ones. Annie listens to our ailments and adjusts the practice accordingly; then brings us back to the cleansing breaths that we will need more and more as moms. It’s a very special hour in a new mother’s week, and we are blessed to have Annie, a seasoned mom, and yogi who loves all of the babies.”

“Annie is the complete yoga teacher! She has been my touchstone since I moved to Squamish and over the past ten years I have come to her drop-ins, registered classes, workshops, prenatal and mom & baby and loved every single minute. Her practice hits the perfect balance between body, mind, and soul. Deeply intuitive, nurturing and wise, Annie leads from the heart but supports her teachings with extensive knowledge of the human body. She always gives that little bit more. I especially love the poems she reads during savasana! I take a precious nugget away from every single class. Thank you so much, Annie.”
Prenatal Yoga
“I can’t rave enough about Annie’s prenatal class. I was seven months pregnant with my first child and had just moved to Squamish. I was a bit anxious about all the changes in my life and going to Annie’s classes gave me a feeling of ease, strength, and belonging. I felt better prepared physically and mentally for childbirth. I also met a lot of great people, including Annie who is regarded as one of the most caring, hardworking people in this town.”

“Annie’s prenatal yoga class is wonderful! There is no pressure, and we get a gentle workout. She supplements with everything from poetry to informative guest speakers to her home-made lavender-scented eye pillows for savasana.”

“My experience taking the prenatal 6-week course has been nothing short of amazing! I really enjoy the atmosphere created by Annie, she helps to make the class about more than just the postures. It’s a truly safe and comfortable environment and a great way to connect with other mamas! I am so grateful for her dedication and commitment to yoga and teaching.”

“I was new to Squamish, new to impending motherhood, and new to yoga when I started attending prenatal yoga with Annie. Those evenings with others mommies-to-be were wonderful for the body and the mind, as Annie knew exactly what needed stretching or extra attention as our bellies grew and her gentle, nurturing style was comforting in those months when everything was changing. I really enjoyed getting to know other local mamas in the same boat, and many of our babies now get to play together during Mom & Baby yoga classes, which has been so much fun!”
Pamela 2014/2017
“I started prenatal yoga when I was 12 weeks and didn’t even feel pregnant. But listening to the other mums “check-in” I began to see I wasn’t the only one feeling what I was feeling. Your poems and readings really made me feel connected to the babe growing inside me and the yoga helped me to remember to love myself too. The speakers were great too, I had a fantastic experience.”

Private classes
“I was so grateful to have the opportunity to introduce my partner to yoga after his cancer treatment. Annie tailored her instruction and guidance in such a way that allowed him to explore space with his new body and helped him realize what strengths he still had as well as which areas needed a bit of patience and time to recover. It was a perfect time to become more body conscious and tune in.”

“Annie is an incredible yoga teacher and person. With her soothing personality and calming voice tied with her knowledge of many yoga practices and anatomy; she has been a key component to my physical and emotional healing during a really challenging time in my life. I am continuing to take her therapeutic yoga privates and workshops. She is very thorough and sends me a follow-up email with key information that we went over during the class. She is one of a kind and I highly recommend her!”

“I was recommended to see Annie from my physio in Squamish. I have lots of problems with my S1 joint and lower back. Annie communicated with my physio to make sure she understood my injuries properly. I did a series of privates in Annie’s “home studio”. In only four weeks I could see amazing improvements and I was able to start doing gentle yoga in a class. I feel that most professionals are so rushed when they treat you, 30 min treatment and then they send you home with some exercises that are hard to remember. Annie’s professional approach, patience, and gentle touch are amazing. She will not send you home before you truly understand how to move properly and will answer any questions you have with a smile:) Thank you, Annie, for giving my quality of life back. It’s amazing to wake up in the morning without pain”

Therapeutic Yoga (group classes)
“As an older woman with a body worn and torn from a full life and with a youthful spirit eager to remain open and grateful, Annie’s classes have given me exactly what I need: careful and in-depth healing for my joints, revitalization to my central nervous system and a heart filled with joy and peace. I keep coming back for more, both in her therapeutic group class and registered therapeutic workshops. Her knowledge of the body and how yoga is a powerful tool in its lifelong care is impressive as is her commitment to on-going learning which she generously shares with her students. Most significant is Annie’s inspiring “light” – her gentle, encouraging and positive attitude which fills the room with a nurturing glow. Her rich, warm voice could pacify even the crankiest baby (or old lady!). I have introduced friends and family members to Annie’s gifts and they too have benefited from her wisdom and deep attention. Simply then – I love Annie. She is the BEST!”
Susan 2014/2015
“Annie offers a calming environment from the moment you step onto your mat. She is able to explain and teach without confusion. The wisdom and knowledge Annie shares throughout her classes have you leaving feeling more uplifted, inspired and free. As Albert Einstein said – If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

Private Group Class
“In our after school class for teachers and teaching assistants, Annie combines mindfulness and observation of breath and body as she teaches us a very balanced combination of sustained poses. Annie is calming and very intuitive about our individual needs. She designs each class as she sees our needs at the start of the class, with stretches and poses aimed at strengthening specific areas of our bodies. We love our yoga with Annie!”

Postpartum Doula Support
“Annie is an invaluable help to our family, particularly when my partner works away from home. She quickly bonded with our baby and he lights up each time he sees her at our door. She has a magical ability to put him down for naps and while he sleeps she finds chores to do around the house, restoring calm and order to our living space and making time for us to enjoy precious moments with our baby.”
Cathie 2020
“Annie was a critical support to our family in those early months adjusting to motherhood and a new family normal. During this time of emotional intensity and when its so hard to give yourself as a new mom space to rest, work, exercise, go to an appointment or connect with your partner. Whatever we needed to do for our family in this very sensitive time Annie was someone I could trust to come into our house and care for our daughter while we did that. She was a wonderful support and person to speak to with so much positive advise. As well as so Loving to our daughter and helpful around the house. I didn’t understand what a postpartum doula was before having a child and now I consider it essential to the family transformation.”
